NEWS BRIEFS

• Thanks to everyone who showed up for the rescheduled open practice on Saturday, it was a great turnout with perfect weather! It was good practice for our next race which is this Sunday!
  
  
• Results and points tally from first race is now up, find these on the Results page.
  
  
• New "Amherst" class for this year: 125cc 2-Stroke Only; this class will be eligible for Amherst year end awards.
  
  
• A list of work to be done is posted in club house for members wishing to get things done early this year or can't make the regular scheduled work parties. Build flagger stands, repair foot valve in pond,pull out and install more hoses, walk the track and remove rocks, paint the fence posts and install the new gates. Members that do work, please sign the sheet in clubhouse next to work that you did so you get credit for it.
  
  
• Amherst Meadowlarks is hosting a Gun Raffle on Sat. Sept 15, 2012. There will be a total of 10 guns being raffled. Tickets are $10 each or 11 for $100. Winner need not be present, and the Gun can be exchanged for the cash value towards anything that Gander Mountain sells, sporting goods, upgrade to different gun, etc. Tickets are available through the members, at the clubhouse or at any Meadowlarks events prior to the drawing. Food and beverages will be available at the time of drawing.
  
  
• On November 16th 2011, the motocross community lost a legend, and we at Amherst Meadowlarks lost a dear friend. God Speed Dane Leimbach, our prayers are with you and your family.
  
  
• There is to be NO PIT RIDING, NONE, which includes quads, motorcycles, and golf carts on the track when not racing or in the pits during the race day. Also please do not bother the scorers during a moto, they are very busy. Thanks.
  
  
• ATTN. Members: If you are on the track and someone is working on it with a tractor of any sort, please stay on the opposite side of the track or at least one lane away for your own safety!
